Nevada, USA – On Wednesday evening, at the planning & community meeting for the GWECC/GreeNu proposed waste-to-energy facility, the Planning Commission voted to approve the project for its proposed use. The meeting was filled with questions and concerns about the process and use, which had been repeatedly expressed and compared to a local oil-refinery. After the presentation, it was made clear that the GWECC technology and processes set the standard in the industry for environmental compliance and is in no way similar to any type of oil-refinery operating in the world.
GWECC and GreeNu are pleased to continue and finish the regulatory process in the coming weeks, and look forward to making Nevada a showcase for waste-to-energy standards around the world.
