GWECC conversion technology has been operational since 1998 and has been deployed around the world converting several different waste feedstock applications to varying output commodities. The core conversion technology is versitile in that it can adapt to multiple feedstock applications and is also flexible with the output commodities produced. The video above exhibits an operating demonstration unit which is located in southern California. This particular process is shown converting waste tires into synthetic and liquid fuel commodities. Other operating facilities are listed below.
Operating Technology
Los Angeles, CA – The LA County Sanitation Department has been operating GWECC thermal conversion technology since 2008. The facility converts biosolids to diesel and is in the process of increasing tonnage capacity.
Chino Hills, CA – The Chino Hills operation has been in operation since 2007. The plant currently processes animal waste at a rate of 24 tons/day.
Milan, Italy – The facility located in Milan uses a GWECC conversion process to convert plastic waste products into power to run their internal facility. The plant has been operational since 2007 and is in the process of increasing tonnage capacity to produce more power.
